Camper gas needs a safe bottle, regulator, proper pipe, detector, and ventilation. Homologación may apply—we install in the workshop, not as DIY.
Before you start
- Choose ventilated interior locker or exterior bottle.
- Plan high and low ventilation in living volume.
- Do not mix gas runs with electrical box without separation.
- Check whether your reform needs specific inspection.
Bottle and storage
LPG or butane bottle by route availability and space. Bottom-vented locker with external grille if inside. Alexis straps bottles with approved restraints and leaves swap access without stripping the kitchen. Never a loose bottle in a sealed cabinet. Exterior boxes are ventilated and impact-protected. Weight and payload matter—near-axle placement helps.
Pipework and regulation
Pressure regulator, copper or certified hose by section, and leak test with foam or gauge. Fittings torqued correctly, not by guess. Cooker and stationary heater do not share a line without design. Technical review pending per installation. Belcampers does not sell cheap hose without professional fitting.
Ventilation and detector
High and low vents stop LPG pooling. Audible detector with shut-off if fitted. Ventilate before ignition. Hatch or fan helps when cooking. Same volume as stationary heating means gas and heating guides are coordinated. You get use instructions and periodic check dates.
Homologación and inspections
Vehicle gas installs may need reform or inspection depending on region and changes. Our homologación page explains the concept without invented prices. Paperwork depends on the van. Workshop delivers a simple diagram and recommended service date. Safety first—if it does not comply, we do not close the cabinet over it.
